About the event

"Bible Translations Matter: How the Ways We Read Scripture Shape Our Theology"

An AWL Panel Event

January 26, 8:00 PM ET

Bible scholars Dr. Laura J. Hunt, Dr. Karen Strand Winslow, and Dr. Josef Sykora will share helpful practices for using Bible translations and wrestling with scripture thoughtfully. We'll discuss common mistakes people make when interacting with Bible translations, explore how we can be careful readers of scripture (even when we don't know Greek or Hebrew), and talk about practical ways of evaluating Bible translations (especially the ESV) in light of our egalitarian theology as Free Methodists. This one-hour Zoom event is free and open to both men and women!   Register HERE for the Zoom link.
